Palm Sunday...The Journey to the Cross

This year we encourage our readers to stop and reflect on the events of Easter week so that we are able to remember all the Christ did for us.

Palm Sunday began Jesus’ journey to the cross. In Bethany, at the Mount of Olives, He told the disciples to get Him a donkey in which He would ride into the city of Jerusalem. When the crowds saw Jesus they covered His path the palm branches and cried, “Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!

As Jesus drew near to the city of Jerusalem, the Bible says He wept. His tears were for the people who failed to recognize He was their Messiah. “As he approached Jerusalem and saw the city, he wept over it…” Luke 19:41-42
